Cross DevOps Engineer(12 months contract)

Are you our next Senior DevOps Engineer?

Evoke Group is one of the world’s most popular online gaming companies. We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us scale and modernize our infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role with architectural responsibilities. You’ll be expected to lead by example, contribute to our automation and deployment pipelines, and drive operational excellence across environments.

If you are an experienced DevOps engineer with deep knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation, and you enjoy building robust systems in a collaborative environment, we want to talk to you.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on automation, reliability, and speed (preferred: Azure DevOps).
• Demonstrate deep, hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, including deployment strategies, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure on AWS and on-prem platforms
• Own and evolve our observability ecosystem using Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic, ensuring high system reliability, performance, and actionable insights.
• Design and implement diverse automation scripts and tools to improve environment management, operational efficiency, and system stability
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in both development and production environments.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in infrastructure, automation, and deployment processes. Drive initiatives from concept through implementation, taking ownership of execution and impact.
• Mentor and support DevOps team members by sharing expertise and promoting best practices.

Who we are looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, especially in production environments.
• Advanced scripting skills with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Deep, practical experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, workload scaling, and production troubleshooting.
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferably using Azure DevOps or similar tools).
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Proven experience implementing observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic, including dashboard creation, alert tuning, and performance analysis
• Solid background in Linux and Windows system administration and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, and load balancing, with the ability to debug complex network issues using tools like Wireshark and system-level logs
• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex environments.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and frameworks as needed.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in hybrid infrastructure environments (on-prem and cloud).
• Exposure to security best practices and DevSecOps principles.
• Background in high-availability, low-latency systems (gaming or high-traffic platforms is a plus).
