Accounts Receivable Team Leader

Responsible for all aspects of the Accounts Receivable (AR) process including monthly reports, reconciliations, and any queries from management, checking entries posted to the accounting system by AR Team, providing support and answers to the financial and internal auditors, providing support to the AR Supervisor and the AR Team.

  •   Ensure that any operational issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner and where necessary are escalated in a timely manner;
  •     Ensure that all direct reports behave in a professional manner at all times;
  •    Support management based in an overseas location at an operational and strategic level;
  •    Ensure all direct reports are aware of their roles and responsibilities and that they
  •    know what is expected of them in terms of goals and objectives;
  •    Monitoring and providing feedback on the performance of direct reports against goals and objectives;
  •     Ensure that AR processes are followed by all stakeholders and that flags are raised for noncompliance;
  •     Management of resources to ensure adequate cover at all times across all areas of responsibility;
  •     Ensure that adequate KPIs are in place and are adhered to;
  •      Ensure that for areas of responsibility best practice procedures are implemented and maintained including best use of IT technology to reduce reliance on manual processes;
  •    Ensure adequate controls are in place for all areas of responsibility including system and manual controls;
  •    Responding to ad-hoc requests for information from management, audit, and other departments within the company and ensuring that the team also does so;
  •    To assist with and take on responsibility for any special projects that may be assigned on an ongoing basis
  •    Support month-end and year-end close processes from a local site perspective.
Job Requierments
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proactive and able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Sound working knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Good communication skills and strong command of the English language.
  • Social skills to work with and engage teams from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a changing environment.
  • Numerate and analytical.
  • Previous knowledge of an Oracle system would be an advantage.
  • Reliable with a high level of personal integrity.
  • Part qualified accountant or bookkeeper (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) would be an advantage.
  • Having 1-2 years leading role.
