What you will be doing

Strategic Infrastructure Design and Oversight: Architect and implement infrastructure solutions that align seamlessly with the organization's strategic objectives. This involves advanced server virtualization using VMware, Linux server strategies, and pioneering Microsoft service innovations;
Advanced Server Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and optimization of servers, guaranteeing top-tier performance, availability, and security standards. Provide guidance in troubleshooting complex server-related challenges;
Data Centre Expertise: Drive optimal datacenter configurations, ensuring servers are efficiently racked and commissioned. Formulate best practices for infrastructure layout to ensure top-notch efficiency and reliability;
Proactive System Monitoring: Lead system health assessments and devise strategies to mitigate potential system interruptions. Establish a robust system maintenance routine, including patch management, firmware upgrades, and disaster recovery planning;
Technical Collaboration: Engage and guide cross-functional teams, coordinating with network engineers, software developers, and system administrators. Ensure the infrastructure blueprint seamlessly integrates with the wider business vision;
Security and Regulatory Expertise: Design and enforce top-tier security measures to protect the organization's infrastructure and data. Stay updated with industry security best practices and ensure alignment with standards, including ISO27001 and PCI;
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Regularly update technical documentation, ensuring they reflect current system configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting methods. Promote a culture of knowledge sharing within the team.

Job Requierments

Who we are looking for

A robust passion for IT, coupled with a strategic and innovative mindset;
Extensive experience with VMware, particularly in advanced server virtualization techniques;
Deep knowledge of Linux server design, administration, and optimization;
Expertise in Microsoft server solutions, including intricate aspects of Active Directory, Group Policy, and system performance fine-tuning;
Demonstrable skills in server hardware configurations within datacenters;
Solid background in Agile methodologies, with a preference for those experienced in Scrum or Kanban roles;
Exceptional analytical skills, with a knack for proactively diagnosing and addressing infrastructure challenges;
Outstanding communication skills, suited for driving collaborative technical ventures and guiding team members;
Ability to juggle multiple projects in a demanding environment;
A steadfast commitment to security protocols and compliance standards;
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in an enterprise-scale setting.
