Fraud Strategy Manager (2 years contract)

We are looking for a talented, experienced and highly motivated Fraud Strategy Manager to join a strong group, developing one of the world’s top leading online gaming brands.

The Fraud Strategy Manager will help deliver the company’s payment fraud prevention strategy. The role involves strategizing, implementing, and managing fraud prevention measures to minimize the volume of fraudulent activity. The Fraud Strategy Manager will report to the Head of Fraud Strategy.

What you'll be doing:

  • Contribute to and drive the execution of a comprehensive payment fraud prevention vision and strategy, aligned with the company’s goals and industry best practices, by working closely with the Head of Fraud Strategy. This includes analysing current fraud trends, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and devising effective countermeasures.
  • Responsible for reducing incoming fraud disputes and any financial losses related to payment fraud activity.
  • Carry out risk assessments to identify areas of vulnerability and potential weaknesses. Analysing patterns and trends in fraudulent activities to understand the evolving fraud landscape and adopt measures accordingly.
  • Build and execute against fraud-specific roadmaps, ensuring we build a solid base that scales for the future, while delivering immediate improvement to our fraud levels.
  • Collaborate with various teams such as Operations, Product, Payments, and Compliance to ensure payment fraud-related processes, procedures, rules, and technologies are effective and continuously improved.
  • Collaborate with external third-party service providers to keep up to date with the latest trends and best practices, monitor fraud levels and enhance fraud prevention capabilities.
  • Work with internal groups such as Audit and outside entities, including financial institutions, legal counsel, and law enforcement in the implementation of policies and evaluation of specific fraud-related issues and deterrent of fraudulent online customer-related activity.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Gaming Fraud on any areas, cases or projects that overlap between payment fraud and bonus abuse/poker fraud.


What we are looking for:

  • Must have knowledge and experience with iGaming (online Casino/Sportsbook).
  • 3+ years of previous fraud management experience.
  • Strategic thinking, being able to balance this with strong execution skills and the ability to react to change.
  • Experience with Visa/Mastercard Chargeback and Fraud Programs is required.
  • Highly developed knowledge of payment systems used online and associated risks.
  • Knowledge of onboarding KYC requirements.
  • Strong ability to drive teams, planning and methodologies for critical projects.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions, and managing work to achieve strategic goals required.
