Gaming Fraud Manager Scope and Purpose:

The primary mission of the Gaming Fraud Manager is to collaborate with the Global Head of Gaming Fraud in developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for preventing bonus abuse and gaming fraud. This role is essential for safeguarding the company against potential risks and fraudulent activities. Key responsibilities include managing and optimizing controls for bonus abuse and gaming fraud, conducting in-depth data analysis to proactively identify and thwart fraudulent activities, and strategically mitigating risks and financial losses for the company.

Gaming Fraud Manager Role Responsibilities:

Bonus Abuse and Gaming Fraud Prevention:

  • Work closely with the Group Head of Gaming Fraud and cross-functional teams to identify and address specific challenges and opportunities. Foster a comprehensive and unified approach to bonus abuse and gaming fraud prevention across the Evoke organization.
  • Implement measures to reduce financial losses and mitigate reputational damage related to bonus abuse and gaming fraud activities.
  • Analyze current trends in bonus abuse and gaming fraud, identify vulnerabilities, and devise effective countermeasures.
  • Ensure that bonus abuse and gaming fraud prevention measures are seamlessly integrated into product development and operational processes.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of bonus abuse and gaming fraud prevention measures using key performance indicators (KPIs) and regular audits.
  • Lead/participate in high-level projects where input from bonus abuse and gaming fraud domain is needed.
  • Conduct routine assessments and reviews of existing controls to identify gaps or weaknesses.
  • Lead ongoing research into evolving issues and solutions for preventing online fraud.
  • Develop and implement targeted strategies and measures to proactively prevent bonus abuse and gaming fraud, ensuring a secure and equitable environment for legitimate players while safeguarding the company's interests.

Bonus Abuse and Gaming Fraud Systems Management:

  • Establish, maintain, and update controls for mitigating bonus abuse and gaming fraud within existing fraud solutions. Create new controls or amend existing ones to enhance detection and reduce false positives.
  • Optimize the performance of fraud solutions to increase their efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead/participate in projects related to implementation of new fraud solutions.
  • Act as a mediator between the fraud solution and the business to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Perform Product Commercial Analysis.
  • Conduct ongoing and ad-hoc data analysis to support initiatives for bonus abuse and gaming fraud mitigation and prevention.
  • Analyze and identify friction points in the bonus abuse and gaming fraud prevention processes. Recommend and implement necessary changes to address these issues. Review and assess situations resulting in financial loss or negative customer impact.
  • Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to bonus abuse and gaming fraud prevention.
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to enhance reporting capabilities and develop comprehensive dashboards.
  • Assist the business in addressing fraud and security issues, providing expert guidance and support.
Job Requierments
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or possess equivalent work experience.
  • Bring a minimum of 2+ years of prior experience in fraud management, with a strong preference for experience in the online gambling industry..
  • Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, plan effectively, and exhibit strong execution skills with adaptability in response to changing circumstances.
  • Exhibit proficiency in the use of fraud prevention tools and technologies.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements for multiple regulated markets.
  • Display a basic understanding of Data Science Principles to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Showcase excellent leadership skills, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a track record of analyzing complex fraud patterns and formulating effective mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to present technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
