Principal Project Manager

At Evoke, the Project Manager is a strategic asset, specializing in tackling intricate, high-impact projects. They are a versatile leader and the go-to problem solvers for complex projects, utilizing their expertise to deliver high-impact solutions that drive strategic value for the business. ​

​Unlike Delivery Leads who have dedicated teams, Project Managers are deployed like special forces. The company’s strategic roadmap for the next 3-5 years includes multiple complex and large initiatives; the Project Manager will move across these projects, and will have generalist knowledge across domains.  ​

Their ability to collaborate effectively across these different teams and domains makes them the invaluable behind the company's most critical strategic initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:

·       Project Management with agility: They lead projects from concept to completion, collaborating with Delivery Leads and teams across different domains, ensuring that we are always looking to unlock incremental value with early continuous delivery, able to pivot easily with change and ​

·       Strategic Focus: Their projects directly influence the company's strategic goals. They navigate complex dependencies and ensure deliverables align with the broader business objectives. They work to achieve strategic goals by solving problems and implementing new processes and solutions that accelerate effective delivery and decision making. ​

  • Lean Governance: They champion lean project management principles, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency. They implement streamlined processes and effective controls to ensure project success, utilizing waterfall and agile methodologies ​
  • Exemplary Stakeholder Management: Managing stakeholder expectations is crucial. Project Managers excel at communication, keeping stakeholders informed, proactively mitigating concerns, and building trust and strong relationships.​
  • Cross-Domain Expertise: They possess a deep understanding of various development domains within the company. This allows them to navigate cross-functional complexities and bridge the gap between different teams. ​
  • Risk Management: Project Managers are adept at identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle. They implement proactive risk management strategies to anticipate potential issues and develop contingency plans.   • Expert Project Management: Experience leading successful projects, demonstrating a mastery of project management methodologies and best practices. A Project Manager will have experience in a range of project management methodologies and will be able to deploy them flexibility to match the requirements. ​
  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to analyze complex challenges, identify potential solutions, and align projects with long-term business goals.
  • Risk Management Acumen: Adept at identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks. They develop contingency plans and proactively implement measures to ensure project success.​
  • Outstanding Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication skills are crucial to build trust, manage expectations, and lead diverse teams across different domains. The Project Manager will be expected to effectively engage all audiences across the business and will be adept in shaping and delivering narratives and recommendations. ​
